Bang Saen Beach and Wonnapa Beach are the most popular ones, and for a good reason. The white sand, clear blue water, and tranquil surroundings make it a perfect spot to lounge and soak in the sun. There are also numerous water sports options like kayaking, paddleboarding, and jet-skiing for the adventurous souls. In the evening, the beach comes alive with local food vendors, street performances, and live music. Watching the sunset while sipping on fresh coconut water was the perfect ending to my day.
Apart from the beaches, Bang Saen has a rich cultural heritage that is worth exploring. The most famous temple is the Nong Mon Market temple, famous for its giant statue of Buddha and its vibrant traditional market.
Another must-visit when in Bang Saen is Khao Sam Muk, a hill with a fantastic view of the town and the surrounding sea. The hill has a staircase with 394 steps to reach the top, but the view is worth the climb. The hill’s peak has a shrine dedicated to Chao Mae Khao Sam Muk, the protector of seafarers.
